How does an Events by JBK Stylish Sleepover work?

On the Stylish Sleepover services page, you will find a full list of curated themes, add-on products and unique activities. Add products to your cart. At that point, you will be prompted to select a date from our calendar of availability.

Once your booking is confirmed, we will follow up with a phone call to review the details, ensure we answer all your questions and collaborate to accommodate any special requests. We will be in touch via email and text the week before the party to ensure your event goes off without a hitch.

We will arrive at your home or preferred venue on the event day, set everything up, and style the space. If furniture needs to be moved to accommodate the tents, please do so before our arrival. We will work together to create a work-back schedule for our set-up based on your scheduled day of and the time of your event. The set-up process takes two hours. Once everything is set up, we will coordinate a pick-up time for the following day and get out of the way so you can enjoy the party.

What’s your service area?

We serve the greater Portland area, including Vancouver and Camas. We are happy to serve other areas; however, there is an additional fee of $150 each way for locations over 25 miles from our home office in downtown Portland.

Price?

Our base price for rental is $650. That rate includes all the elements in our Stylish Sleepover themes. See the Stylish Sleepover services page for more details. To customize your look, there will be an additional $100 fee and an additional cost of goods depending on the additional elements that need to be purchased. What if I want more tents?

We are happy to accommodate the rental of additional tents for a cost of $100 per tent, and you can expand the package to include as many as you need. Each additional tent will fit seamlessly into the Stylish Sleepover sets. For bookings over 10, we provide a discount. While our package includes four tents, we can always accommodate less; however, the minimum package price remains the same.

What is the standard rental period?

Our standard rental time is overnight. We are happy to rent them for longer; please be sure to note that in the additional comments section when you book, we can accommodate an additional nightly rate.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellations and changes happen. Please notify us at least two weeks before your event. Date changes are based on availability. No refunds will be issued within two weeks of your event date.

What do you mean by a Stylish Sleepover "set"?

The term “set” refers to all the elements that come with each Stylish Sleepover. From the mattresses to the trays, pillows and the decorative garlands, each Stylish Sleepover includes a group of elements we call a set. Additional elements like night masks, pajamas and goodie bags can be added. Check out the Stylish Sleepover page for a full outline of what’s included. 

Do I have to pick a theme?

No. We are happy to work with you to create a custom theme. There will be an additional cost, depending on your request's specifics. We can also slightly customize one of our current themes to fit your needs. Keep in mind that while we have outlined themes, our sets won’t look exactly the same every time. We take pride in creating unexpected flairs so no two parties look alike.

What ages do you serve?

We can serve all ages. It totally depends on the parent’s preference. The SleepUnder is a great way to have a “Sleepover” for kids under 8 years old without actually having to have the kids sleepover. See our blog post about SleepUnders. A Sleepover at Grandparents’ house is also super fun at any age and, again, is based on family preference.

How big are the tents?

Our Stylish Sleepover tents are 5.5 ft tall, by 5.25 ft long, and just over 3 ft wide. We can vary the layout (line-up, semicircle, or rows) to accommodate to the space.

How are the tents cleaned?

At Events by JBK we run a tight ship and take cleanliness very seriously. All linens are laundered in hypoallergenic detergent. Mattresses and pillows (regular and decorative) are disinfected and stored in airtight containers. We do spot cleaning as well.

Can I use your tents outside?

Our tents and all our set elements are designed for indoor use. We can accommodate outdoor requests if arrangements are made in advance and meet the following criteria. 

  • The outdoor area must be 100% covered.

  • An additional mat needs to be rented to place under each mattress ($30 per tent)

  • There can not be any water features, pools, sprinklers, or hoses near the tens

Can I host the event outside of my home?

We are happy to set up our Stylish Sleepover sets wherever you want, whether that’s a hotel room or any other type of venue. Please contact that venue to ensure our products meet their guidelines and policies. They are welcome to contact us if they have any further questions.
